Richard Foster is a photographer and director working in high end still life.

At the core of all of Foster’s imagery is his meticulous attention to detail and focus on form. He uses light to study and shape each element. To extract beauty from the subject. Often working on a macro scale, Foster’s photographs are recognisable for their alluring combination of texture and simplicity, drawing out and highlighting the details in every image.

A decade of Foster’s still life imagery is captured in self-published monograph Between Sense and Uncertainty. Designed by Pentagram and released in 2017 with an accompanying exhibition at The Hospital Club. The book represents both Foster’s most defining professional achievements, and personal triumphs.

In 2019, Foster published his second book Monumental Landscapes, a collaboration with renowned sculptor Nic Fiddian-Green. In this, he explores the romance of the artist’s monumental artworks, and how they sit within the landscape. The book was launched at The Saatchi Gallery, alongside an exhibition and short film, before moving on to be exhibited at the Mayfair gallery, Sladmore Contemporary.

Renowned for drawing out and highlighting detail in each image, Richard has built a portfolio of work with brand giants such as:

Adidas, Anya Hindmarch, Audemars Piguet, Ballantine’s, Burberry, De Beers, Fendi, Glenlivet, Graff, Gucci, Johnnie Walker, Mulberry, Patek Philippe, Prada, Rolls-Royce, Smythson, and Vogue.
