Studio one

Melmoth Hall is a wonderful old Victorian sculpting studio, which we converted into a bespoke photographic space. It comprises of two fully equipped digital studios, networked to our retouching suite.

Our retouching suite is on the lower ground floor, along with the kitchen and decked garden. There is a lift and good access to all floors. Both Studios have great daylight as well as full shuttered black out.

Studio two & kitchen

The top floor studio is used in its own right as a studio, or as an addition to the main studio. It is often used for meetings during the shoot, or for the layout of props and product. In the kitchen we serve toast and marmalade for breakfast from 8.30am and sit down to a home-made lunch everyday. If the weather is good we eat out on the decked garden under the shade of a rather sizable sail.

Digital capture & retouching

We have a collection of digital backs and cameras to select from. From bespoke focus controlling plate camera's to HD video. Once the brief is recieved we can choose the right piece of equipment to achieve the best outcome.

Downstairs we have a retouching suite and a full-time retoucher, on hand to work along side the shoot. Many clients find it useful to have retouching and shot construction happening live on shoot. All the studios are fully networked and images can be immediately placed on our retouchers data tank.

Colour management is an area we have put a lot of effort into. All screens are calibrated, all printers profiled and all files are supplied in a designated colour space. ISO standard A3 GMG colour proofs are printed in- house. We can upload images to our server for easy access for clients.
